Project Description

  • The Royal British Columbia Museum is building a new Collections and Research Building in Colwood, British Columbia to protect and preserve the province’s collections and archival records.
  • The building will be constructed utilizing mass timber and will implement sustainable strategies to achieve energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
  • The project will be procured using a design-build model to provide the best value to British Columbians, leveraging private sector innovation and expertise.

The Project will include:
Key program areas include public viewing and learning spaces, research and laboratories, collections storage areas, archive storage, and reference rooms.
