Project Details

Project Description: The Royal British Columbia Museum is seeking a partner to design and build a new Collections and Research Building in Colwood, British Columbia to protect and preserve the province’s collections and archival records.
The building will be constructed utilizing mass timber and will implement sustainable strategies to achieve energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
The project will be procured using a design-build model to provide the best value to British Columbians, leveraging private sector innovation and expertise.

The Project will include:
Key program areas include public viewing and learning spaces, research and laboratories, collections storage areas, archive storage and reference rooms.
