Project Description

Northern Health is undertaking the expansion of the University Hospital of Northern British Columbia (UHNBC) in Prince George through the addition of a new Acute Care Tower. Features of this Project include:

  • A new Acute Care Tower providing 211 new beds for Surgical, Cardiac and Mental Health services;
  • 12 new operating suites;
  • Perioperative services including medical device reprocessing department;
  • Outdoor courtyards and other landscaped areas; and
  • Administrative functions such as public, patient and visitor support services, material management, and food services.
