Mike has worked on major transit expansion projects across all stages of development, under both traditional and collaborative delivery models. A civil engineer by training, he has held senior design leadership roles on a range of Canadian transit projects.

Since 2022, Mike has served as Deputy Design Director for the East Harbour Transit Hub Alliance, where he was responsible for the delivery and technical integration of East Harbour Station. As a member of the inaugural Alliance Management Team, his role extended well beyond the traditional scope of a consultant’s engineering manager. In addition to leading design management for the station facilities, he was accountable for the Alliance’s information and BIM management function and acted as the design liaison for Systems Engineering and Safety Assurance with the GO Expansion and Ontario Line Subway programs.

Mike also led the development of internal project integration processes and tools, establishing strong technical governance and enabling a fully integrated Alliance capable of achieving value for money while meeting rigorous safety and quality standards.

In addition to his role at Hatch, Mike is a member of the Canadian Armed Forces Cadet Instructor Cadre and volunteers as an Emergency Medical Responder with the Peel Regional Paramedic Service.
