The Project scope includes the design and construction of a new facility on a greenfield site in Abbotsford, BC that will house veterinary diagnostic laboratories, plant and entomology diagnostic laboratories, and office functions supporting the laboratories and branches of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food. The new plant and animal health centre will be the backbone of B.C.’s food safety system, helping farmers and veterinarians quickly detect and respond to animal and plant diseases that could threaten animal safety, food supply and public health.
