Steven Innes is a strategic and collaborative executive whose leadership has shaped one of the most significant modernization initiatives underway in Canada’s nuclear sector. Over the past decade, Steven played a central role in revitalizing the Chalk River Laboratories campus—guiding over $1BN in capital investment, modernizing critical science and infrastructure facilities, and advancing new delivery models that have earned national and international recognition. His work championed innovative approaches such as Integrated Project Delivery (IPD), strengthened regulatory and project governance, and built highperforming multidisciplinary teams.

In December 2025, Steven transitioned to the role of Deputy Vice President, Mission Optimization, where he now leads CNL’s enterprisewide continuous improvement and performance excellence function. In this capacity, he is driving transformational process improvements, Lean methodologies, and datadriven governance frameworks that enhance operational efficiency and strengthen mission delivery across the organization.
