Westley Davidson

Chief Project Officer, Cowichan District Hospital Replacement Project

Westley Davidson is Chief Project Officer for the $1.45 billion Cowichan District Hospital Replacement Project, one of British Columbia’s most transformative healthcare infrastructure initiatives. Scheduled to open in 2027, this project is redefining patient care and workplace experiences through innovation, respectful collaboration and sustainability.

As the first hospital in B.C. to adopt an alliance delivery model, the project demonstrates how trust, transparency and shared accountability can drive exceptional outcomes. This model brings industry partners, health system teams, Indigenous communities and governments together to achieve shared goals.

The project is also setting national sustainability benchmarks: Canada’s first hospital to achieve Zero Carbon Building Design Certification, B.C.’s first Salmon-Safe Certified hospital, and on track to become the province’s first fully electric hospital.

Westley brings extensive expertise in building standards, regulatory frameworks and healthcare design requirements, ensuring the facility exceeds expectations for safety, inclusivity and innovation. His strong foundation in project management principles and ability to build high-performing teams have been instrumental in delivering this visionary project. Committed to collaboration and patient-centered outcomes, Westley is honoured to create infrastructure that supports healthier, more connected communities.
