Kevin Weicker is the Engineering Director for Capital Projects at the BC Ministry of Transportation and Transit, where he leads major initiatives including the Trans-Canada Highway 1 Kamloops to Alberta Four-Laning Program, Central Okanagan Integrated Transportation Network, and the Highway Reinstatement Program. With more than 20 years of experience in engineering, with a background in bridge and structural engineering, Kevin specializes in delivering complex highway infrastructure projects across British Columbia.

He has extensive experience with a wide variety of project delivery models. He led engineering efforts on the five recent collaborative alliance projects in response to the 2021 Atmospheric River Event which caused catastrophic flooding that disrupted vital transportation corridors. Through his career, Kevin has combined technical expertise with collaborative leadership to strengthen British Columbia’s transportation network and prepare it for future challenges.
